A.  Sydney Ute Hire has locations across Sydney Metro areas that are open every day. Locations      are open 7 days, late or 24hours.

Q.  Are your vehicles allowed outside the Sydney Metro Area?

A.   Yes, our vehicles are allowed outside Sydney Metro Area and interstate. Permission is       required by Head Office for interstate travel.

Q.  Can I collect a hire vehicle at one location and return it to another? One-way hire.

A.  NO, One-way hires allowed. The rental vehicle must be returned to the pick up location.

Q.  How do your rates compare to other companies?  

A.  Sydney Ute Hire rates are competitive. We are not about having cheap rates, but rather       providing you with local easy convenience. Our Ute, Van, Trailer hire are located at petrol       service stations across Sydney, making it quicker and easier for you to pick up your rental       vehicle after work or on weekends as our locations are open 7 days, late or 24hrs.  

Q.  What do I need to bring with me to hire a vehicle from Sydney Ute Hire?

A.   All hirers must provide a current valid photo drivers licence and a valid credit card in the       same name. A deposit of $500.00 plus the rental fee is required up front. Credit Card holder       must be present with photo id.  NO CASH DEPOSITS ACCEPTED!

Q.  What age do I have to be to hire and/or drive a vehicle?

A.   Drivers aged 21 - 24 years old can hire subject to an age surcharge of $10.00 per hire/day       We are unable to hire to drivers under 21years old. Learner Drivers (L Plate) and Red       Provisional (P1) licence holders are not permitted to hire and/or drive any vehicles from       Sydney Ute Hire. Green Provisional (P2) Licence holders can hire/drive, must be 21yrs +.

Q.  Can i hire with an international/overseas drivers licence?

A.  If your drivers licence is written in English and you can provide us with a recent legal       document  (phone, electicity, lease agreement) with your current Sydney address and you       have a valid credit card for deposit and payment, YES - you can hire.   

Q.  Can anyone other then myself drive the vehicle?

A.  Only nominated drivers on the Rental Agreement may drive. All drivers must be listed on the      Rental Agreement and must present their drivers licence upon commencement of hire. An      additional fee of $10 per driver will apply. Age surcharge may also apply. Any other person      driving the vehicle not listed is a breach of the hire agreement, therefore no insurance cover.

Q.  Do you provide 24 hours Roadside Assistance if i break down? 

A.  All vehicles are covered by NRMA 24 hour roadside assistance. Please note that a human      error call out will incur a $35 service fee for; Out of Fuel, Key Lock Out, Tyre Change, Lights      Left On or for any other event not caused by the vehicle or Sydney Ute Hire. 

Q.  What happens if i return the vehicle late?

A.  Late returns incur a $20.00 fee per hour or part thereof, for the first four hours, then daily      rate applies.

Q.  Can I extend the hire duration?

A.  Extending the hire duration is possible subject to availability. Please call or come into the      pickup location and pay for the extended period in advance. The hirer/driver must comply with      the terms and conditions on the hire agreement, otherwise the agreement will be deemed as      breached and no further insurance cover will be provided.   

Q.  Do I have to return with a full tank of fuel?

A.   We ask all customers to return fuel to original starting level at commencement of hire, or       re-fuel upon return.

Q.  Do we provide ropes, straps or trolleys with our rental vehicles?

A.  The vehicles may have ropes or straps left inside which you can use. Ropes are available to       purchase from the petrol stations for a small fee. We do hire trolleys for $20.00/hire/day.

Q.  Does Sydney Ute Hire provide drivers to help move?

A.  No! - sorry we do not provide drivers.
